Default Wood look dash kits

Anyone tried them? I was in the dealer - they sell Superior brand - Superior web site says they sell exclusivly thru dealers.
Anyone had any experience with other brands?
and do they peel off and look bad in a few years?
general cost?

i recently bought a replacement set for my wife's Solara off of ebay (the toyota oem ones were getting faded from the sun... I don't think she puts the sunshade in the front window while its parked at work during the day ). I paid $100 including shipping and frankly, I can't tell the difference from the oem ones except the new ones aren't faded. Definitely a lot cheaper than the $300+ the dealer wanted.

I bought one for my wife's Maxima from ebay about a year and a half ago and it lost almost all of it's collor. Became yellow.........

At the same time one of my friends, even a little earlier got one from veneerz.com and it's still as good as new.....

Take it from me, better spend $60-$80 and get something that has lifetime warranty and feel safe, than bother with ebay crooks.

I got a genuine toyota wood kit from ebay for my 2001 highlander. It's the replacement plastic trim and not a stick on kit. looks great. The dash trims just pull off and you replace them with the wood effect ones.

I am also interested in a wood dash for my 05 Highlander. I'm looking to just change every piece of the brushed aluminum type trip to wood, I don't want to add it anywhere else.

smcgough, how do you take the current trim off?

also, this is the only thing I found on ebay, is this what you bought and is this what I need? Thanks.

The parts I got off of ebay were the Highlander limited parts. These are (for want of a better description) 3D peices of plastic trim that replace the silver trims you pull off. You can reove the trims by gentle leverage with a flat blade. the trim around the instrument cluster take some work though. You need to lower the streeing wheel, then remove the plastic between the steering colum and the trim, then the trim can be removed.
The Burlwood moulded dash trim you can get from ebay and from your dealer are thin peices of veneer that you "stick" over the existing trim. These people supply the stick on kits to Toyota :-
