Default ENGINE Pattern failures

Does the Hl V6 engine (ENGINE ONLY) have any pattern failures or common problems to date?
I have a 99 Nissan V6 and many seem to have coil (ignition) problems and egr valve prbllems from what i read.

Have the HL v6s developed any common ENGINE problems? and has only one basic design v6 been used or was the bigger one in 04 a complete redesign?

There are no EGR systems in the VVTi V6 engines. Coil problems happen it's not common.
The major failures I've seen on these engines (like broken rods etc) are due to extreme lack of maintenance. Oil passages clog up,the bottom end starves for oil,and boom.
