Default Chrome Exhaust Pipe Tip??

Anyone have a chrome exhaust tip? I see them on several SUV's and I think it would look sharp on my 05 Highlander. I know the exhaust pipe is 2 1/2" in diameter but I have no idea how long the exhaust tip should be.

Dont do it , i have one and it gets dirty every 5 seconds and now it rusted over,
If you insist on getting an exhaust tip , go with stainless steal.

I put one on my 05 Highlander a few weeks ago and it cost me about $20 from PepBoys. Yes, make sure you go with stainless steel so you don't have a rust problem. I will take a look at the brand I got and let you know in the next day or so.

It looks sharp IMO and I don't have a problem with it getting dirty at all, but then again, I wash and wax the car every other day! LOL

I would app recite it if you can find the model or part # of the one you got from Pep Boys drmomkey.

I looked at my tail pipe and it has a downward crook in it so it looks like the exhaust tip will need to be short.

Like the fat exhaust tip memaster but my 05 doesn't have that big of a cutout in the bumper cover for one that big. I would be afraid of paint damage by having the exhaust that close to the body. Have you had any problems??

Does anyone have a pic of the Valor tip that you can buy from Toyota? I found it online several places for about $35. Looks nice but wondering about that downward "crook" in my pipe as well.

I took a photo on my cardomain site of my Toyota tip....I like it and got it pretty cheap ($40) at trdparts4u.com, a dealer in Dallas. (I also bought their sill guard for $20)

Good luck!

dont worry about the curve in the pipe, you can slide the tip on pretty far and the pipe will look straight.

Pics look great.

Does anyone make a sill protector for the Highlander? I have not been able to find any.

If you have the original Highlander rear bumper, then the TRD muffler will work just fine. You don’t need the extra cutout in the bumper and the muffler tip won’t get any where close to your bumper like mine (= no paint damage worry).

How does the TRD exhaust sound on a V6?? Did you consider any other systems, like Flowmaster or Aero-Turbine??
