Toyota claims 7.3 sec in 0-60sec.

You won't be able to spin the tires no matter what you do.
That how the AWD is set up, to maintain traction via all 4 wheels, and the Highlander also comes with VSC stability control system and ABS.

Comparing the Highlander to other vehicles in it's class (Pilot, Vue, etc), I think the Highlander is the slowest of the bunch.

Personally, I didn't buy the Highlander for it's performance (speed), I bought it because it looks good, get's good gas mileage, and is made by a company that has an outstanding track record for reliability.

Wish i could afford it, but as you probably know this car gets very unstable around 70 and with these gas prices i don't think ill be adding much to any column.

Those Cherokees are deceptively fast, especially with the 4.0L. Never tried a Grand Cherokee though.

What were you thinking trying out a Cayanne?

It wasn't a planned thing, I was waiting at a red light trying to make a right turn from the right lane and he pulled up next to me signaling that he was also making a right turn but from the left lane and was going to cut me off. His passenger looked back at me with a confident smirk. Sensing I have no chance, I just waited patiently till the light turned and then I floored it around the corner and cut him off. Right away we hit a light together and safe to say he wasn't going to take that lying down. So we went, right away he got like 4 carlengths on me, I'v really never seen an SUV go that fast. Eventually I caught up to him at another light but he was nice about it, he said I was pretty daring to go as fast as I did to catch up to him. I said nice porsche, never had a chance. He said he stole it from his parents and he was going to mexico with it. The funny thing is, at the end of the race I noticed there had been a BMW in my blind spot the whole time. Guess he wanted some as well.
