Default My Steam Engine train Highlander HELP!!!

I need some guidance please.... I bought a Certified 2002 Highlander V6 4wd with 39,100 miles back in September. In October I developed a noise while braking the sounds like a steam train starting off... the chuga chuga chuga(sorry, no other way to describe it) First thing that was done was we found out that the clips holding the brake pads were missing.... Once replaced the noise stopped for a week, went back samething. This has happened now for 12 trips to the dealership... Finally the entire bracket holding the pads were replaced and all was great.... NOW it's back and louder then ever... Has anyone had this problem and if so, what was done to resolve it? I called coporate to see if this is a known problem or not or if they can offer any info on the problem...

Please help me as I am not liking this car right now especially driving my newborn around and not knowing if this is something major!

Thank you
Mark

That it returns after a fix makes me want to consider the following
1: Wheel nuts loose. Retighten.
2: Other less likely warped rotor
3: brake pad replacement

Sure sounds like warped rotors to me if the chug chug is in time with the rotation of the wheel. Lack of spring clips may not pull the pads away from the rotor fully so you hear the noise all the time but I think the cause is the rotors being warped. They may have changed the pads and turned the rotors when reconditioning the trade for resale, most rotors today are too thin when new and turning them makes them more likely to warp.
