Default Radio Codes

Can anyone tell me if the standard Highander radio uses security codes? I need to remove my battery and before I do I'd like to be sure the radio will still work when the put it back in. The owner's manual makes no mention of this feature.

Remove the battery yet? I am sure the radio will work fine after you reconnect the battery.

I'm pretty sure that you'll have no trouble with the Highlander. Its a major hassle however, removing the battery on a Honda -- on our Odyssey they somehow had the incorrect code listed so we couldn't get the radio working again -- had to get them to put in a new head unit!

No it does not use codes to lock it out. Toyota doesnt do that anymore.
It was a major pain in the arse.
