HighlanderGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid.
This is a discussion thread titled "Sattelite radio intergration", within the Highlander forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
I just purchased an 06 Highlander limited with premium sound and navigation. I would like to add sattelite radio, probably serus. How big a deal is this and can the sat radio be intergrated with the nav screen? Thanks, Stoney
your question is a number of days old. I'm surprised no one chimed in.
Anyway, if you are satisfied using the FM modulator approach, its a no brainer and you could probably do it yourself.
If you want it wired in via a specialized harness into the head unit and no FM modulator, you're talking more expense, assuming that animal is availalable.

Thanksfor the info. The factory intergrated system is exactly what I need.
Great.... I liked the look and intergration as well.
However, I'm waiting to see what happens in the industry and see if they merge. Each has it's plus's but each alone does not have everything I want for the price and it seems like major pieces (Like NASCAR and others) are going from XM to Sirus and others from Sirus to XM. I don't want to invest in one now only to have what I wanted jump ship to the other player, or have it go belly up, or be bought out by the other and than you have to buy new equipment.
