HighlanderGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid.
This is a discussion thread titled "Running Boards", within the Highlander forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
What's with Toyota? Picked up my highlander hybrid limited and noticed how incomplete the vehicle looks with out running boards. It looks like something is missing. Anyone else notice that? How much do running boards cost to intall?

If I recall correctly it was around $600 + installation for the glass running boards. I decided it was to much.

so many of the aftermarket boards say will not fit with factory fender flares so wqhat do you do?
Personally, I'd get the Toyota factory ones from Carson's Toyota, one of this sites sponsors, and have them installed locally at your dealer. Or better yet, see if your local dealer will match their price. Your membership here does have it's privileges, see the bottom of my note on how to become a Subscribing Member
I've found over the years that the aftermarket glass/resin ones, while close to the quality of the manufactures, just don't fit as nice and usually look like an add on, Vs a factory look. When you are talking over $30K for your vehicle anymore an extra $200 is worth it in the long run I think.
