Hey everybody,

I just purchased a new 06 Highlander Ltd. It says it has pre-wiring for the tow package but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

You still need the converter. It is a box that plugs into a plug in the wiring harness in the back and has the 4 wires that go to the trailer. the pre wiring makes a neat install but it is misleading.

Oand welcome to the forum!

Welcome. Just ordered my 06 Ltd yesterday. If you do a search on highlander hitch wiring you should come up with the info you are looking for. I believe it is behind the drivers side rear wheel but I cannot verify this yet....

On my 04 it is under the rear flooron the drivers side. It takes a little work to get to.
