Default Air filter replacement v6

The air box has two clips that face the fender and two hinges on the middle of the car side (opposite the clips)
after you undo the two clips
do you

1. have to take off any of the hoses?

2. or just raise the box?

and does the air filter slide in from the fender side or the front of the car siide?

I do not want to break anything

I've changed the air filter on my wife's 03 V-6, don't remember exactly how the top of the box comes off but you certainly don't have to disconnect any hoses. Once you get the top off, replace the paper filter element and when you are putting the top back on you will know if you did it wrong, the clips will be very hard to snap in place. If they go back easily you did it right.
