Question 05 Highlander Hitch Install - NO TOW PREP package preinstalled...

Any issues? Plan on towing my two jetskis, 5 people and trailer...

What should I add to it beside the hitch? Tranny Cooler?

Bought the plug in connector from the hitch place... hopefully going to go pick it up in an hour or two.

Bought a bolt on hitch works fine but the hitch I got is close to the bumper so putting the chains on is a pain. Also got the wiring module which was also easy to install. I don't remember where I got the hitch and wiring module but I got them from the internet. I checked under the hood and ours has a pretty big trans cooler. So I don't know if it is necessary to add another one.

I just had my trailer weighed and it is 1220lbs without gear. Probably add another couple hundred pounds with gear, food, and ice. Oh, ours is a 4-cyl

How did you install the wiring module...and what did it look like?

I actually installed 2 wiring modules. The first one taps into the tail light plugs and ends in a flat 4 wire plug for the trailer. It developed a problem so I got another one that utilizes the factory wiring.

Do a search for one of my posts. I did a step by step on how to instal with the factory wiring.
