Radio the same in '04-'06 Highlanders? aux input question

Can anyone who owns an '04 or '05 Highlander with the basic radio/CD/cassette (no internal CD changer) tell me if you have a part # 16842 printed on the front of your radio (small numbers, upper right corner of the radio)? I'm trying to verify whether the radio in the last two year models is the same as the '06 in hopes that an auxiliary input adapter will work.

For extra credit, do any of you have XM or an mp3 player or other device requiring an auxiliary input installed using a direct connection like a Soundgate or PIE adapter (not an FM modulator)? I just got the vehicle, and have XM radio, but using an FM modulator now because the stereo shop found that their Soundgate brand auxiliary input adapter that was supposed to work (and which does work in my '05 Camry) - didn't.

So PIE (www.pie.net) has one that works according to the chart, but I'm a little gun-shy, esp. since they're hard to return at most dealers. I would feel better if I was sure that the radio in earlier HLs was the same as mine, as some internet research seems to indicate.

That's what I thought, and that's reassuring. Well, I'll find out tomorrow when the part arrives, I hope.
