Default For the owners with heated seats. Please help.

Hi everyone, I am trying to figure something out related to the heated seats in an 05 highlander.

My 05 did not come with heated seats, BUT, I poped out the plastic covers where the heated switches would be if I had them and found two wire harnesses just haning out in my dash back there. They have 5 wires going to each harness and the wire colors are white, blue, red, black and white/black.

Here is a picture: http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...929_2_full.jpg

I know this is a lot to ask, but if someone WITH heated seats in their car could pop out one of their heated seat buttons and check to see if the harness going to these buttons look similar to these wire harnesses I found, I would greatly appreciate it.

What I am hoping is that my car is pre wred for the heates seats and maybe I will just have to purchase the buttons and connect them to these wire harnesses and then I will have heated seats as well???????? OH PLEASE OH OH PLEASE OH PLEASE!

Thanks for all your help everyone and if you need pictures of what I am talking about, I can provide them since I took pictures of this and other stuff on the highlander tonight.

Even if the wiring is there you'd need to add the heat grid/element to the seats (back and botom) The heating element is NOT there unless your car came with heated seats. So in addition to the switches you'd need to order the back and bottom heating elements as well.

I agree that yu need the heater elements.... But the harnesses are for the seats. They are prewired during production on leather equipped h/l's. majority of leather packages on Limited's get the heated seats option . Toyota does this for cost efficient reasons at production.
