HighlanderGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid.
This is a discussion thread titled "Jacking points on 06 Highlander Hybrids", within the Highlander forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
I looked in the manual and I only see the side jack points listed for changing the tires, normally they will show all lift points. Does anyone know if there are single lift points, front and rear, for use of a floor jack for changing oil and tires.

The Front lift point is dead center just at rear edge of splash shield. Using the center section of the H or A frame as some refer it as.
The Rear lift point is directly under the Rear differential. This should be obvious if yu just climb under your H/L and look close. Then yu will know what I mean.
I mark my lift points with bright red dot decals so when I guide my jack under the vehicle I have an accurate reference point without any error.
It makes lifting easy.
FYI, I don't remove the lower front splash shield to change my oil/filter as Toyota says to do. Not Necessary.
However, on the HIHy yu will have to I believe. The engine top shroud layout might be in the way.
I find it easy to remove and install my filter from the top of engine bay.
A great time saver for the Non Hybrid H/L at least.
I wish my camera was working ,I would show it precisely.

OK on the front, thats what I had fuigured, but the rear may not be the same on the Hybrid. When I looked quickly at it the other day it's not the same as one with a differential becasue of the electric motor driving the rear wheels.
I think Toyota, leaving all the different lift points out of the manual, on the Hybrid means they really don't want people doing their own tire rotations and work on them.
Thanks

probably just an oversight on toyota. The rear suspension is the same design. maybejust a variation on same theme. It is independent rear with strut setup. The susp. needs a center support for the camber setting. this is where the load support must be on any similar design.
There must be diff of some kind back there for the motor.
I do realize it IS a different chassis code however.
