Does any one know how to remove the instrument cluster as I am thinking of changing the gauges to white faced ones. Need help in removal of trim piece to gain access to the cluster

It just pulls off. There is a posting by Pillpusher that has the Toyota service manual for the Highlander. It will tell you how to dismantel the whole vehicle if you have to! Are you changing the bulbs to white or the dial faces themselves?

The trim piece just pulls off. As for changing the bulbs, I don't think there is a way to do that on the 2005 and up Highlanders. The bulbs are actually little LED bulbs that are soddered onto the cluster. I took pictures while mine was apart if anyone is interested. I was going to change my bulbs out and then found this out.

As for changing to white faced guages, where did you find Toyota Highlander white faced guages?? I have never seen them before and have looked. Would love to know where to find them.

Good luck with everything.

Yes, if I remember correctly, you need to pull off the panel below the trim piece (that is above the steering collumn) then I think the trim piece around the guages pops out.

If yu are talking about the Highlander Cluster, as this is a Highlander thread section, I guarantee yu will NOT find a white face retrofit.

I scoured the net for some time. No one makes it! And, If Japan doesn't have it , no one does.

So, don't beat yourself up trying to remove the cluster for nothing!
