Your 35 PSI IS INCORRECT!!!
I hope yu are not trying to save 3 cents on fuel by bumping up your PSI by 5 pounds.
The H/L rides like crap, handles poorly and gives lousy foul weather traction. with anything higher than 31PSI anyway. And, the tires
WILL have tread feathering on the outer edges with higher NON-Spec. PSI.
The correct PSI is 30.
Don't go by the
TIRE's sidewall PSI rating. Use Toyota's Drivers Door Jamb lable , it will say 30 PSI>
Correct the pressure exactly (per TSB) ,then refer to the TSB on this issue. Follow it
exactly.
Do yu have access to this TSB? It is very informative on your TPMS issue!
According to the TSB...Worst case, yu might need a new "Actuator Unit" ! Hope your warranty is in effect!
FYI, the Highlander has an "
INDIRECT type Sensor System" and therefore doesn't include the SPARE tire for those that don't know this.
