Greetings,
Just bought a used black 2001 Highlander Limited 4WD for my fiancee - very nice car! I can't believe how smooth and quiet it is. The ride is so car like too. Amazing! Ever since we sold our 4Runner a few years ago she's always wanted another SUV. We were also looking at the Nissan Pathfinder with the 3.5L motor, but decided to get a Toyota instead. I guess you can say I'm a Toyota man. I've owned a 1986 Celica GTS, 1987 Corolla FX16 GTS, 1985 Corolla SR5, 1988 MR2 Supercharged and a 1997 4Runner. I still currently have a Toyota and it's a 1993 MR2 Turbo. Anyways I just wanted to say "Hi" and hope to learn from all you guys.
Its a mutual learning experience here. All the Highlander knowledge we can get, is beneficial. What's up guys. My birthday is this Thursday March 10th, my license plate stickers expires then and having failed my emissions test TWICE on my '90 Honda Civic and after $200 in self repairs and still failing, I gave up and bought an '01 Toyota Highlander.
I got a pretty good deal on it, compared to others in the area (all of Ontario actually), I'm paying $23,910 CDN for an '01 Toyota Highlander V6 AWD with only 52,000 Kilometers. For my American brothers, that's 32,500 Miles @ $19,128 USD. It might be different in the States but that's a pretty good deal up here.
Pick it up this Friday, can't wait. I wanna play hookie and call in to work sick.
Now, hopefully I won't have to ever shovel the driveway again with this AWD!

Definitely catch the cold that's going around . I am the proud new owner of a 2005 Bluestone Metallic 4WD Limited w/ everything except navigation. I took delivery on May 19 and have already oredered new wheels and tires. Stay tuned as the modification saga unfolds!!
We were the first to purchase in Spotsylvania, VA the 2001 Highlander about 2 weeks after was announced. (No discounts offered) Actually it my wife's SUV, but I picked it for here and the dogs and it has enough passenger space for a 6'3" guy with big feet. The SUV has 120,000+ miles on it. Nominal mintenance and gets about 24-26 MPG. Has all features but the moon roof.
Welcome to Tundra Solutions Hatcherb Ok now I know something is up. I am positive I wrote you a welcome note. But here it goes again ...Welcome.. Lets see some pictures...since it is your wife's she can drive and you can hang out of the sun roof on the VA coast. Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Highlander Owners Introduce Yourself...
Hi! Just posted my first message on this forum. I've used the Ford Trucks->Aerostar forum for years for help on my wife's van. She's now traded it for a 2002 V6 2wd w/ 60K miles on it and two days and <20 miles later the check engine light comes on!! Yikes! I've posted the details in another message. We've cleared the light for now. I wonder if that's what the dealer did?
Looking forward to this forum being as helpful as the old Aerostar one was.
We just purchased a 2006 V6 2WD. We had an '02 Tundra and was part of the TS family until '04. The Tundra is gone, but we also have an '05 Matrix in the garage. TS is a great site!
