Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Highlander Owners Introduce Yourself...
We just purchased a 2006 Highlander FWD for my wife. It's Bluestone Metallic with Ivory interior. She loves it and wow did we get a great deal. In fact, CarMax is selling a 2003 version of her car with 24k miles for $20,700 and we only paid $1,400 more for her new car and didn't take the $ 1,000 rebate (did the special APR financing). So either CarMax is over priced or we got a steal. I'm going with the latter. The best part was I brokered the entire deal via email. Spent only just over an hour in the dealership signing papers and such. So much less hassle. So now we have 2 Toyo's in the family, my Tundra DC Limited and her Highlander. Anyway, that's the story.

Hello, I have recently found this website, and have joined the club. Looks like plenty of info. for anyone who has or will be buying a Toyota.
I have a 2000 Camry LE I4, that runs perfect. It is one of the nicest cars I
have owned.
I have been considering a new Highlander base model, but here in the Mid-Atlantic region, in order to get side impact & side curtain airbags, I must
also get the moon roof.
Does anyone know if those type of air bags may come standard in the 2007 Highlander? (Looks like the 2008 Highlander will be the new style, from what I have read).

Let me tell you how great it is to have access to a forum where I can find out about my 04 Highlander. Unfortunately I haven't had it long enough / nor worked on it enough to be able to contribute anything constructive - except perhaps an occasional observation. But when I'm able, I will do my best to repay those who've helped me already. Thanks a bunch

Hello, new member Mike Piltz here. Just purchased a new 2006 Highlander Limited in Bluestone Mettalic for my wife. So far so good - looking forward to getting my Weathertech tan rubber mats to match the interior next week and reading the forums for useful info.

I have a 2001 Hylander which I love. However, I'm finding it almost impossible to get three booster seats buckled in. The booster seats fit but the middle one ends up having the seatbelt behind it. Does anyone have any solutions for this. The one in the middle has to wait until the side seats are buckled and then also needs my help. It is very frustrating when the school carpool line thinks you are taking too long!!
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Highlander Owners Introduce Yourself...
Recently purchased a limited '04 and find it to be excellent but am having some problems with the nav system. Manual says that the miles traveled number resets with each fill of gas but mine resets each time I start the engine. Is there a way to NOT reset the miles traveled until I manually reset it? Also, is there a way to change the info screen to give different information instead of average speed?
Any help would be appreciated. I am getting around 25MPG on average.

Hi, guess I'm new here too. Thought I had posted but says I haven't. I am in the market for a Highlander and hope by the next time I post I will have it. I want a Metallic Bluestone Limited. I am a longtime Toyota owner. First one in Dec 1977 (a pickup) since then I and my family have had an '80 Celica GT, an '84 van' an '83 tercel 4X4 wagon, an '86 4Runner (still have it w/225000 miles) a '94 SE Camry and a 2000 SLE Solara (still have it w/100000 miles). Add to that a '76 Nova (Corolla in a Chevy envelope) and and a '92 Geo Prism (Corolla in a Geo envelope). Guess I'm sold on Toyotas. Might add that once I drove any one of them off the lot I have never had to take it back during warranty. Hope the same holds for the Highlander I plan to get. The gas mileage is the only thing I am concerned with. My Solara gets 26/28 MPG and the old 4runner gets 22 MPG.

New here. Been a member for sometime but didn't have time to post anything. Anyway, got an 02 V6 Limited AWD purchased back in 02. It has about 65K miles. Using Mobil 1 Synthetic oil, added a magnetic in-line transmission fluid filter, husky rubber cargo mat and Sylvannia Silverstars. Everything else is stock.
Had no idea it was camry based but happy to learn about it since my wife drives a 98 LE Camry. I'm doing the basic maintenance for both cars now and everything is so similar.
Anyway, glad to be part of this forum. Hope to get more info from each other about our vehicles.
Hello everyone, We have just become Toyota owners. 1st foreign vehicle, besides my Yamaha, that we've ever owned. We bought a 2001 H/Lander, V6,AWD with 45k on it. Wanted to go newer, but the price was right and the mileage low. My wife had to give up her 98 Chevy Tahoe for this. The Tahoe was deteriorating fast w91k on it. Decided to go with Toyota because you just can't seem to beat em. So we joined em. I have to get some running boards now to dress it up some more. Looking for Toyota oem's, I think they look best. Well, here's to hoping I never need technical advice, but glad to know it's available.

Hey all,
New member here, looks like there is some great HL info at TS! My planned mods so far for the HL will be: HID retro, remote start, and sound. Great to be here!
