Default Highlander Power Window Prob

I have a 2001 Highlander and the passenger side rear window is stuck. I can hear the motor, but it's not moving (stuck open right now). I'd like to try and fix myself, but am a little concerned with taking off the door panel; anyone have any experience with this???

Thanks.

BW

takin the panels off the doors are nothin... just unscrew the screw beneath the handle and check for the little pull out plastic plugs(for lack of a better word) Dont have to be real gentle, the panels can take a lot of abuse (watched a guy at a customs shops beat the crap out of one and it was fine). Usually they have to be pulled up and out to come off. Give it a try... cant do any harm and you should be able to see the window and whether it fell off the lift or if the motor is bad.

Please post what you find. My passenger window just sounds kinda sick. It words but it makes a little more noise than the others and it is slower. I'm worried it is about to die.

Snow986 was right, the door came off easy with the exception of the "plug" that is connected to the door handle (not the door latch screw that is hidden behind a little plastic tab). Once I was firm with the panel, and popped the plug away from the frame, I then lifted up and out, the panel came off easy. There's electrical connection to the switch of course, that easily comes apart once you depress a little tab and wiggle apart. However, on my 2001 Highlander, seeing the window assembly is quite limited although I was able to put my window back on the track and back in service.

Thanks for the advice snow986
