Default How to paint stock running boards

I was given a set of stock limited steps to put on my 05 dc, the only thing is they are white and my truck is black. Can I buy paint and do myself? I haven't taken to paint shop yet, but I am planning on it after I pick up truck from getting its lift today. I believe the steps are some sort of plastic, any advice?

Well, yea... But another alternative is to use Krylon Fusion. It's specially made for plastics.
