The euro style fits closer to the body. It usually wraps around the front bezels and is contoured to the grill. Since the grille raises with the hood, my last grille on my 02’ would swing out to clear the grille. This does take away from the strength but fits my needs (better having some protection than none). My problem with Westin is that they show something similar to what I’m talking about but in reality the actual guard is very different. I think the advice from StatCoder about waiting for the demand is the best thing to do. Thanks for the replies both good and,,, not so good.
does it have to be black? if not, i'd check out the onki's. they're completely polished stainless steel including the mounting hardware. they are probably the BEST aftermarket brush guard out. they aren't cheap but they do have a lifetime warenty. that was what i wanted but since i have a front hitch, they wouldn't fit. i ended up going with the westin platnum series. i had the rhino 3000 series sumatra. DO NOT GET THESE! within a month i had rust and bubbles under the chrome. the dealer even confirmed they were defective but rhino just couldn't believe it, thank GOD the dealer stands by what they sell! the rhino was $1,100, the westin's were $940 and the onki's are $1500. i'd go with the onki's and then you never have to worry about them. they are also a lot beefier than the others. they'll be installing the westins next week. i'll post some pics of the rhino and the defects and then i'll post some of the westins. check out onki.com and see what they have. they are sweet! hope this helps...
