Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Window Rain Visors", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
About the only thing that frustrates me on my Tundra is how easily rain channels into the side window. Is anyone using the rain visor that installs into the channel of the window? I do not want to use the 3M application and am curious if the newer channel inserts are easily removed when you don't need them.
I have weathertechs coming today and will post feedback. Bought and returned the Ventshades and they were improperly designed IMO and extend down the front "triangle" 5"s for some dumb reason.

It's not just the 07 model buddy. It is a problem on my 05 also. And too add to the chaos, the EGR ventshades I just put on, although much wider than I anticipated, do not cure the water dumping in after the first right turn in the dew-filled morning.
And these things are ugly big. Lifetime warranty though.

I purchased a set last week off an ebay "buy it now" auction for $48.95 including shipping. They are in the window channel kind and held in by 3M tape and are made by a company called "Wade". I like the looks as they are the smoked color and not too big either. Already had a chance to try them out in our Northwest rain and they worked well.

Installed Weathertech rain visors on my RC Tundra. Look good and are not too large. Fit in channel really well and could be removed easily. Ordered mine from JC Whitney. Don't have a picture with visors installed yet.
