Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Custom Billet for your Toyotas", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
HI ,my name is Dan and I currently work with the awesome crew here at Billet Technology by Vertex Precision, Inc. Many of my responsibilities include designing, prototype, engineering and manufacturing of the custom billet products that we build.
My co-worker Nick and I own both a 2006 Tundra, and a 2007 Tacoma. We are currenty getting ready to bring some custom billet products to our trucks. We are looking for feedback and ideas for anything you may want to see. Currently we offer a pistol grip, 12 Volt Billet Power plugs. We can custom engrave on these pieces and offer them in anodized colors such as black chrome, mirror red, mirror blue and purple. On the pistol grip you can gt it polished, brushed with clear anodize, black chrome, mirror red or mirror blue. Shorlty we will be moving under the hood and offering more interior items. The pictures below are the products we currently offer for the Tacoma adn Tundra, as well as some of our custom work we have done in the past for many of our customers. I'm looking forward to being on board and working with you folks.
Here is some of our custom work we have done. We will offer the same services for you.
We have several cars at SEMA this year with this fuse box cover below that will be on one of the Dub Cars in the Dub booth
Also some custom badges and plates
Some more custom work
Some under hood caps customized

Im trying to get a feel for whats hot. The nice thing about these is you can get what you want . Im going to see if I can get my front emblem off and check it out . Thanks for the compliment
I would be interested in seeing some black emblems as well! Or could you do black with a Maltese cross for a hitch receiver? I have seen some local but they are cheesy looking. It seems there are other some other guys on the forum that are in public safety as well, and they maybe interested.
Just need a little direction on what you would like as a standard offering. These are all custom one offs that have been done for other customers but can be reproduced or use your own art work the sky is the limit. Check out the home page has a little album on the home page. Nice stuff! I suppose you coat the parts first then engrave?
Underhood caps would be nice. I have a no-name billet oil cap and radiator cap overlay (although the rad cap one isn't aluminum, the chrome is starting to rust )
Since they're no longer made, how about throttle body covers? Here's a photo of member jbtoy's engine bay
The fusebox cover was also from the same source. I'd like to see totally flat covers (no milled lines) so they can be custom engraved.

All a man really needs for happiness in this world is a good woman, a faithful dog, and a big-assed set of tires on his truck.

Sure we anodize and then engrave its a popular upgrade to regular billet .We will be offering these in satin and polish as well .I cant wait to get started. we been making killer billet for everyone's car while my new truck sits there and drools .Your right about that flat top fuse box that is prime real estate.
Im sure we can come up with something cool. fuse boxes will definately be on the list . First thing will be some of the caps and radio knobs then into the larger items.

Dan, I know that a lot of members here would like to see quality, lasting black emblems/badges to start. Your work seems to provide that.
The grill Toyota emblem just "snaps" on/off so that might pose a problem in your manufacturing? Looking at your work, the adhesive badges probably would not be a problem.
As far as set up, what would you need from us? A certain number of orders?
Like you said, the sky's the limit.....
Let us know.......
