Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Cold Weather Package (heater)", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Good Morning:
I have a question what's included in the Optional Cold Weather Package for a 2000 low mileage Tundra SR5 TRD Access V8 4X4 I just purchased from a Ford Dealer. I'm assuming that the heater listed is a engine block heater but the Toyota site just says heater on the 2003's. It's cold as heck here in Minnesota so I don't want to crawl around beneath it on a wasted hunt. If it is a block heater where the heck is it located? Looking under the hood I haven't found a 110 volt cord attached to anything nor was there a cord stashed inside the vehicle anywhere. Anyone living in fridgid country that can assist me with my search?
I've got the same package (cold-weather) on my Tundra. It's not a block heater, but just a heavy duty heater. Sit in the Truck when its warmed up, and that thing will roast ya.
Thanks a bunch Sledhead1 you may have saved me from a nasty journey. I though that might be the case when I used the interior heater last weekend in minus 25 temperatures. I could turn the fan to low and crank the temp control to 3/4 and still be comfortable going down the Interstate.
Thanks again, Larry L.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to syphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
Hey there Minnesotan. The package is actually called All Weather Guard, it includes: heavyduty alternator, heavyduty starter, heavyduty heater, and antichip paint.
