Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "# Dogs - Need Seat Cover Recommendations", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
My 2008 Tundra DC is due in in a couple of weeks. With three dogs that I take with me everywhere, I am looking for seatcovers to fit over my new cloth bucket seat covers, and especially on the rear seat where my dogs will sit.
I've been looking at Precisionfit Seat Covers, but are there any other brands out there? Looking for custom fit front and rear that takes into account the seat controls and air bag requirements.
All a man really needs for happiness in this world is a good woman, a faithful dog, and a big-a$$ed set of tires on his truck.

That's what I need. We use a double sheet & it's a PITA to spread out & tuck in. Plus there's no extra thickness to absorb slobber/rain/general dog funk.
I use the same ramp for our 112+lb greater swiss mountain dog when driving the wifes Nissan Murano but the rear door on the 2004 Tundra Double Cab doesnt open far enough to get a clear run into the cab....how do you manage...do the rear 06 doors open further??? I was hoping to find an aftermarket hinge that would allow the rear door to open 90° to the body for clear access.

I put the lip on the seat which results in it being a tad steep but the 2 labs have no problems with it at all. I will look for a pic or 2 to post up with.
I'm getting some CoverKing neoprene seat covers, but I'm still going to use the seat pad I made in that thread posted above. There's also a bunch of seat protectors on jcwhitney.com, and there's some ballistic nylon covers that should work well for big dogs.
sounds good, keep in mind seat covers usually don't block the opening between the seats. Thus the kids can rest there paws on the console resulting in scratches and also a open invite to come into the passenger seat.
I purchases a seat cover for the rear of our 2007 double cab. It looks like it will do a good job completely covering the seat rear and surface. The way it is designed, it slips over the back of the seat. In the Double Cab, the rear seat does not seem to be able to move and has no room to slip this cover over the seat backs. Is there a way, without unbolting it completely, to move the seat backs forward in some manner to slip this over the top?
Nope, you have to remove the rear seat in order to install the rear seat covers. I recently installed the Wet Okole seat covers and had to remove the six?? bolts on the floor and then lift the rear seat up to diengage the pin and hook setup behind the rear seat - one at each end of the rear seat. The seat covers went on pretty quick.
It's not too bad once you figure it out.

These would work perfectly for my tundra. Is this machine washable?
I've thought about just putting the rear seats up, but my two bulldogs' hair would just be all over the back of my front seats and under the rear seats.
