    Default INSTALLATION TIPS?

    Can someone that is good at installing sticky items give me some tips on being able to position a sticker and being able to move it around to striaghten it ?I remember seeing this on a thread on installing plastic sill covers.Thanks.

    If I remember correctly, you want to put warm soapy water on the area first. That will allow you to move the sticker around until you get it in the right spot. Hopefully someone else will chime in and confirm/correct this.

    Thats a big 10-4 boone. I install decals/stickers sometimes when i help my brother, (he cuts decals for a living) and when we're not confident we can do it without water, we get some soap and water, put it in a spray bottle, shake it up and spray on the sticky side of the decal before i apply it. Be sure to clean the surface you are about to apply the decal to, with denatured alcohol, or some other wax/dirt removing solvent. As for the soap/ water mixture, you can put a squeeze or two of dish soap in a spray bottle and fill the rest up with water. then once the decal is in the desired location, use a squegee to squeeze out most of the water under the surface. hope this helps.

    Default Boone and S-Man

    Just want to say thanks for the tips on sticker installation.
    I finally got roundtuit last night and put on Dyoigm's decals on the windows.That person whinning in another thread about TS isn't good is way off!

    what is best procedure for putting on decals, I.S. type, over the door panal badge.
