Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Interior Creakfest", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Wow, I bought this 04 Tundra AC Limited because I love Toyota's product, but I am very disapointed with the interior rattles and creaks. First it was the dash, so I did the backer rod mod and fixed that. Then it was the radio bezel, which was fixed with foam tape. Now its either the panels on the rear doors, or the latches for the doors. I've also got an intermittent rattle inside the dash. Its driving me NUTS. I love everything about the truck, except the interior. I am gonna have to tear apart the interior and line everything with foam tape, grease every joint, Dynomat everything possible and loctite all the fasteners. I'd love to pull the dash and make sure everything inside like vent tubes and wire harnesses are secure and rattle proof. Anybody ever done this? Sound like I have squirrels and mice living in my truck!! I am going BIZERK!

I fixed my rear doors by wrapping electrical tape around the upper "loop" that the access doors latch to. I went around 6-10 times and the noise is gone. Give it a try and let me know how you made out.
