We just bought a vehicle long-distance (from Ohio) and when it got here (northwest), we found RUST all over underneath. It's a mess. We're dealing with the dealer, but if they refuse to take ownership of the problem they did NOT disclose to us, is there any way we can hang on to this car? The Les Schwab guy (who had it lifted up when he was fixing a brake fluid issue) said it was a "mechanic's nightmare." Oh, great. Is there ANY comfort/consolation for a situation like this?? Please be nice.

I guess it depends on whether its just surface rust or really eating away the metal. You can use a rust nuetralizer, like Rust Bullet to paint onto all the rust and it will stop the rust problem.

I think the damage is pretty bad. Will Rust Bullet (or something similar) help with major rust?
