Default Visor warnings

Is there any way to get rid of those warnings on the visors? They are so darn ugly. I am thinking that they just peel off but I want to make sure so I don't ruin them. Thanks for the help, Barry

I used a clothes steamer to get them off. I guess you can use a steam iron. Take off the visors and steam them for a while and they peel right off. There is an indentation in the fabric when you remove the labels, but it looks much better without them. I have the bench seat and took off the console label also. You just have to steam that one where it is. I didn't bother with the plastic side visor label.

I soaked mine with a a wet towel, and then ironed on top of it (the towel). This sofened up the adhesive and the sticker pealed right off. I wouldn't iron directly on the fabric. The heat may cause it to melt, or become shiny. I would also suggest that you remove the visor from the truck (3 screws) before you start work. It's a lot easier. There was a slight indent left by the decal, but it looks a hell of a lot better than a warning sticker.

I used the soaking a towel method last night. Thanks for all the help. It does look much better with the stickers off. Barry

Default sun visor decals

what is the best way to get rid of the warning decals on the sun visors? they don't seem to be easy to just pull off.

I used a clothes steamer. A couple of minutes of heat on the cloth side of the visor and they come right off. There will be an indentation where they were, but it looks much better. Some guys have used a hair dryer, others a steam iron.

If we did not want to leave the indented areas can they just be recovered with like material? I have my SUPRA's but those were easy to get apart. I don't really see how these come apart. todd

Default Re: Sun Visor Label/Decal Removal

Just did the deed last night....steam ironed thru a damp towel...this took a little time but they pulled off with very little resistance, leaving a patch of adhesive the shape of the sticker. I then used 3M adhesive remover spray and soaked them down pretty good, scrubbed the spots carefully with a detailers brass bristle (tooth brush style)brush. The soft material is really tough stuff so this isn't as radical as it sounds. I repeated this several times and the 3m stuff evaporates quickly. The adhesive was wiped off with a terrycloth towel...check with the wife as to which one to use first!!!! The results are very good,I can just barely make out where they were and it's going to fade out the slightly darker places where the stickers were over time. It's waaaaay better than looking at those dumb *** stickers all day.(total time was 1 hr.)P.S. No indentation at all. Thanks a million to the originator of this process!
