Get some strong fishing line, a pair of leather gloves and with the fishing line stretched between both hands (kind of like if you were flossing your teeth ) use a "sawing" motion in between the body and the emblem.
It will safely remove the emblem leaving behind the adhesive.
Get some 3M Wax and Grease remover and then clean the remaining adhesive from the body.
Good luck!

I used a very thin gauge piano wire with leather gloves, the wire doesn't touch the paint, and it cuts through very quickly.

What are you a hitman or something? Leather Gloves and Piano wire...hmmm.... Who has piano wire laying around? LOL I actually will try that with one of the million guitar strings I have. Thanks for the tip!
Just finished getting mine off, used 15lb braided fishing line. Put the baby vise grips on each end and sawed away. Rubbed the goo off with fingers and finsihed er out with goo gone.
Well I just discovered that even though I had it polished and waxed it did not get it all. Just returned from a 10 mile cruise through my backyard BLM land. When I looked at the doors I discovered the dirt highlighted the wording Toyota Tundra still. Broke out rubbing compound and buffed the area again and waxed the doors again.
Only 7500 miles on truck should not have etched in this early.
c what happens.
Just my $.02: on my 00 Ivan Stewart, I removed the SR5 emblems from the back doors and replaced them with the Ivan Stewart emblem that was supposed to go on the dash board. I bought another one on ebay. That emblem fit perfectly, and was a real good way to set off the Ivan Stewart trucks as being different from your every day SR5/Limiteds.
Maybe a little unorthodox, but I used Silk Proline sutures to remove my badges, then some ScratchX scratch remover. The sutures never broke. Damn easy to remove in 90F sun.

Just removed mine with some 12lb Spiderline fishing line that i had laying around. I used a credit card to get the double sided tape off with the help of WD40. I polished it with some turtle wax polishing compound then gave it a couple coats of wax. You cant tell anything was ever there.
I also spent some time replacing the Bosche super plus plugs that the previous owner had put in there with some Denso iridiums. Truck runs like a bat out of He** Purs like a lion and looks good while doing it.

I'm posting these pictures to give people an idea of what it looks like. It's a little stealthier IMO. I don't know what the darker panel is about - it doesn't look like that in real life.
I plan to replace the SR5 symbol with a TRD one if i can find it. I also want to get this down the road.
I have the black 06 tundra double cab and I'm gonna do this asap.... I am also thinking about using dupli-color black on my wheels and on my chrome bumpers. Has anyone done that?????????
wheels? dunno. bumpers? yes, definitley been done. I was going to do mine with some semi-gloss black. But, we'll see if I get around to it or not.

My Tundra is a 2000, so the badges were really simple to remove. I put a layer of adhesive remover (some spray-can from Lowes) and let that sit for about 30 minutes. It was around 90 degrees the day I did it and when I came back the V8 and 4WD badges had just fallen off, and the others were extremely simple to remove. I left the SR5 badge on but removed the TRD Off-Road Decal in the same manner. It gives the truck a much sleeker look and makes it a lot easier to clean and wax. I started to remove the side molding, but I remembered the holes. I'll eventually have those welded shut and remove that molding, but that won't be until I've got some spare change to throw around for a whole new paint job. I'm thinking black.
