Default Headlight tinting

So I just got some SilverStar headlights installed in my 2000 SR5 recently, and I've heard and seen a lot about headlight tinting. As far as I know, most people just spray-paint theirs, but I want to stay street legal so I was thinking that a window tint might work, and that way I would know exactly what the requirements are. Anyone done this, know someone who has, or has any thoughts about it?

Thanks,
PSon

Buy an after market set of HID headlights. Order 8000K lums and you will have that cool light blue look to your lights and they are many times brighter than Silverstars. I have had them both and I will never use Silverstars again.

Search google and look for "hid headlights" . I got mine for 135.00 and set.

Yeah, I got the brighter ones so that I could tint them (for the look) and retain some brightness (for safety). If I did it with stock lights I'd be blind at night.

I've checked the local laws, and now I just need to know if some cheap window tint would stick or if the heat would bake it off.
