Looks Great! Wish I had some one do my retro... I already have extra set of headlights
can you take picture of rear of headlight? Thanks
Tomorrow i'll try and take some pictures for ya...BTW, when I was talking to Rich, he mentioned that he received an email from you inquiring about something, and he asked if I knew who you were. Anyways, he said that he tried to contact you but you didn't return his call or something. This was a couple of weeks ago about that time he finished up my lights. Just wanted to let you know just in case you didn't hear from him.

Those look great! At first I was going to just do a HID conversion but after doing some research, I believe that projection is the was to go. I can get my hands on a set of Lexus RX 330 projectors. Does anyone have any feedback on these, good or bad? I've people say that s2ks are decent as well
I haven't heard too much about RX330 projectors, but if those don't come through, then I have a pair of Audi RS6 ECE projectors that you can use. These ones are bi-xenon's which have the high/low capability.
As for the s2k's they are known for their sharp cutoff line and good color output, BUT they are only single xenon which means you lose your highbeam capability. The beam pattern is also fairly wide, but not as wide as the LS430 projectors which I've heard and seen to be extremely wide.
Good luck with whatever setup you go with.

Thanks for the info. I wish I had the stones to set up my lights like yours but I've only got the one set, don't have the scratch to pay someone either
Ok well as promised, here's some photos of the new LED's and a new MaxVision 6k D2C bulb installed.
Light output dimmed a bit, but the color output darkened the blue and supplemented the violet. Looks pretty nice IMO.

I'm not going to do anything to them, here in Hawai'i we have safety check and vehicle reconstruction "recon" inspections to deal with. So basically, my truck is now illegal on the road because of the headlights even though they don't blind any of the other drivers like the pnp kits do.
Tinting them on the outside would just be me begging to get pulled over by some of the d*ckhead police we got patroling the streets. That's why I envy you mainlanders as some of you live in states that don't even have to deal with safety checks or even recon. I think we are the only state that has recon laws???
But, i'm thinking about doing my original headlights with a bit more car show appeal. This time including things like led's inside the housing like the audi r8 style with some halo's and CF wrap the inside with color matched paint or something...but the retrofitter hasn't returned my emails for about a week now so we'll see how that goes. My mortgage comes first so the lights will have to wait.

thanks man...though from what i've observed nobody really cares! I guess because since i'm not driving a Titan around here that it's just blah to them!
I've seen quite a few Titans around with those ebay halo/led/projector and god knows what else are in those headlights, and I've seen people gawk and turn heads at that! Oh well, at least I have a way cooler color pattern shining up the sides of buildings and street signs as I drive by. AND i don't have excessive glare blinding people driving by!

Not to bad at all!! i am in southern cali here and just got my HID lights installed with fog light HIDs as well. I have some tint on my main headlights so the hid blue make the output look green, but when I fix that, i will post a pic, for now, here is my 05 DC tundra with the parking lights on and the fog lights on, due to me doing the fog light mod that my buddy helped me out with! I also replaced that parking light with a LED light so its looks way cooler... be advised, i still have the tint on my main headlights so the LED will look a lil dimmer and etc, but looks great, let me know what you all think!!
Also, The company that sent my HID lights gave me the wrong bulp rating that i asked for. I wanted 6500k but as you can tell by my fog lights, it is 5000k so the fog lights dont have the blueish look to them. they are more white since it is 5000k. The color should pretty much match my LED lights for the parking lights, so i will get those fixed, other than that, my turn signal lights and etc will be dark as well due to the tint that is coming off on tuesday.. until then, enjoy!!!

Sorry...for the tease...
They are Hella Bi-Xenons from a E55 Mecedes, I'll try and get you some pics later...but the cutoff and colorband are gone now b/c I had to put the orginal fluted shields on it again...but the light output is still pretty good...
your the only one that will have a sweet HID setup on a Tundra....for now...hehe..

Ok, well you've inspired me, hahaha. It's been about 2 years since I bought my truck, and ever since then I have wanted to do an HID retrofit (I'm not into blinding other drivers with a kit).
Anyways, I'll make my own thread so I don't clutter up yours But so far I have bought the ballasts and bulbs, and one extra headlight (still need the drivers side). Here is my thread.
