Default Herculiner Bed Liner

Well I just finished my own little project. I hated to spend 400-500 bucks for the bedliner from Line-x. So I did it myself. Goto my photos and check out the pics. I think it came out pretty good and it cost me a total of 110 bucks to do. 90 for the herculiner and 20 for some supplies......Tell me what ya think....

Oh by the way, I tested it out by sliding my toolbox all the way down it when I put it back on, the pictures were taken afterwards, no scratches......

it looks very good. a couple of questions. how much of the can did you have left? Also how hard was it to do? and do you have to pre-sand the area very much before you lay the liner down. thanks for the information.

Goto herculiner.com and it actually shows how to do it. I was a little skeptical until I watched the videos of them doing it. I was a little more comforted. I did quite a bit of sanding with a wire brush and then steel wool. I wanted to make sure I had good adhesion......Thanks for the comments

I also have herculiner on mine and bondoliner too. I bought 1 gallon of herculiner at $69 and finished appling. I let it dry 24hrs then went back to buy another because I wanted it thicker. They ran out so I settled for bondoliner. Totally different texture between the two. So I now have 2 coats of different brand. I put back my bed liner in.

The herculiner when cured and dried have a rubbery texture and the bondoliner has a plastic hard texture. I learned not to crawl on it with bare knee's.

My experience with Herculiner is you get what you pay for. It doesn't have the same adhesion qualities as Line-X and the other hot spray products. If you're not hard on it, it will probably serve you well.
