Thanks for posting the pics in your gallery! I know people have been wanting to see them for a long time.
Just my humble opinion, but for some reason I'm not digging all the angular lines that these bumpers have. For me, the angularity disrupts the flow of the smooth lines and curves of the Tundra.
I'm sure they function well and its really cool that you can get them painted from the factory. I know some guys will be buying it cause they need a bumper that performs and works. For the more hard core wheelers, they probably don't care what it looks like as long as it works.
I'm not trying to take away from Road Armor or anyone who gets these bumper replacements. Its a baddass bumper. Like I said, just my humble opinion. Everyone's taste is different. Its good to see another manufacturer supporting our beloved Tundras and kudos to them and whoever else made it happen. Now we have 1 more alternative to the few brands out there.
Most importantly about the curves: In case of an impact of any kind it will get transfered into the brackets holding the bumper on like The ARB bumpers. Doing this will save the bumper and frame from crushing/bending/tweaking which is never good. So the stlying/bracketry serves a purpose to protect the front end in case of any impacts and damaging an individuals' truck. I pesonally love this bumper the most as for the reason it doesn't stick out too far forward and the bracketry for obvious reasons.
Road Armor keeps safety in mind unlike some to making a heavy duty bumper without a proper Bracket System to absorb impacts before transfering it down the frame rails and further buckleing the frame rendering your vehicle useless and totaling the vehicle. HD bumpers are anyones call. Everyone has a choice. I just wanted to state why I prefer ARB and Road Armor for their outstading bumpers.

Thanks for the info on the bracketry and how the bumper mounts to the Tundra. Its nice to know that the Road Armor is also thinking about safety as well as making a rugged bumper.
However, in my previous post I was talking about how all the angular pieces (ala stealth fighter) of the bumper didn't look right to me. First you have your Tundra that has its clean lines and sweeping curves and then you have this bumper that has all these angular lines and straight edges. The front bumper isn't too bad but the corners of the rear are just way too much, IMHO.

i agree. it looks like a soccerball. otherwise it's definitely the best looking rear bumper for the Tundra.
I'm curious as to the weight of that front unit w/o the brush guard.
I've gotr price quotes from Natalie Gile at Road Armor
Front Stealth bumper -Raw version $1300
Front Stealth bumper - painted version $1400
Front Stealth bumper with guard – Raw $1750
Front bumper with guard - painted version $ 1850
Front bumper - any other guard available -not really liking it - can a Titan I or II guard be added instead no
Rear bumper - Raw and panited version $1300 and $1200
Questions I asked and responses I received
And here is what the say about the bumpers: The tundra bumper is so new that we don’t have weighs. They wont be more than 130 lbs for the full guard. These bumpers are the strongest on the market right now. If you get in a small accident nothing will happen to this bumper. It also protects against deer, and elk. Prices are listed below. The bumper is mounted to the frame of the truck. The same place the factory bumper mounts to. I have spoke with customers that have hit a car going 70mph and walked away. The truck wasn’t even totaled because of our bumper.

Yeah...the truck was totaled due to hitting a car at 70mph....
I'm sure the bumper's strong..hell I know Road Armor bumpers are strong... But the entire truck would have practically shattered around it.

Does NOT mean it was stationary at 70 miles an hour such as into a wall, she meant the truck was traveling 70 and did not brake in time and mashed the vehicle destroying the other occupants' vehicle , I knew someone would take this out of context.
Any how just thought I would post some "FACTUAL" information I've found of the processes that are taken in the making and formation of the Road Armor
Bumpers.
All Road Armor replacement front and rear bumpers feature a 3/16" thick solid outer shell backed up by a heavily reinforced ¼" thick internal structural sub frame.
Road Armor is built from the highest grade ASTM A36 sheet steel, engineered with a minimum yield of 36,000 PSI.
This high-grade steel presents a superior finish for powder coating that provides years of corrosion protection.
Polyester powder coat applied 4 mills thick.
Steel is Laser Cut.
Steel is formed by a 750 ton CNC press.
Phosphate surface etching and pre-heated to 400 degrees.
I'm posting this only so others know in which the order these bumpers are constructed. So ones' considering this bumper know this.

Sounds heavy??? What did you do to your front suspension to counter the weight? Did I read that right, 130lbs?
Is that wihout a winch? Isn't the ARB Sahara bar around 90lbs? What does the stock / OEM bumper weigh?

I don't know exactly the weight, she stated no bumper has weighed more than 130 lbs. And that is for super duty's with the extra guards, and this is without a winch. I would say this is 95-110 lbs at most.
Our truck only weighs in some 5000 lbs and less on a AC cab.
So I would get a Ramsey Winch like this one: | Ramsey Winch | 6000 lb winch: Weighs 54 lbs. with the synthetic Rope. or | Ramsey Winch | for the Fussy who want more: a 70lb winch for 9500 lbs
For supporting this bumper and any other Heavy Duty Bumpers I would get the Donahoe Shocks with the 15% increase in the coil rate.
Bone stock shocks are rated some 650 lbs each and mine (Donahoes 2.5") are rated around 750 lbs each.

All I need to feel like a stock ride again.
I have a 2001 Access Cab with the TW SAWs I put on in the spring of 02. Guess I could just dial them up a notch (if I can ever get them unfrozen...) Do they make this bumper for the 01 Tundra? I will have to check thier website and see if they have a dealer in AK.
