painting billet grille

I was wondering if any one has ever painted their billet grill my brother is going to buy the paint to paint the door handles on his 350z cause he just got some black rims, so i started to think about painting my billet grille a glossy black so my question is what would have to do to paint it. thanks in advance for helping me. will post pics if i decide to do this. and i have already thought about powder coat just cant find any one in the palm springs area to do it.
