Question Center Pod Retrofit

I don't know if this has been posted, or if this is the right forum for that matter (sorry if it isn't!) but can the Sequoia center pod be retrofitted into the Tundra. I like the look of the Sequoia pod with the turn knobs and digital readout and out of curiosity wondered if it could be done. I've looked at them up close and they look to be the same size and shape, but would the wiring be a problem? I swore I saw a pic of this in a Tundra somewhere. Anyone have any ideas?<br />Take care,<br />Clay

I emailed Steven Ganz the other day at Carson Toyota. He said i was the first person to bring it up to him. I have looked and im 99% sure it would fit fine but there is a prob. You have the mirror controls in ur door and its are in the console. Then in the back of it there are the A/C controls or whatever. Those aren't there on the Tundra as you have no rear A/C vents etc. I really want to do this mod. The center space thats carpeted seems a waste of space. What would I do with my other 2 power outlets also?

I think the pic you might have seen is of the new flared tundra. I saw a pic of the interior and it had the center colsole similar to the Suquoia.

Here is a link that highlights the stepside. There are 2 pics that show a full console. It sure looks like it would be easy to retro fit into any Tundra. Cannot see how it fits at the bottom of the center pod in the pics clearly, however. http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/auto...a/gallery.html

Uh oh! I think I confused everybody here. I was talking about the center pod in the middle of the dash in which the radio and heater, ac controls are. Sorry! Any ideas? As for the floor console as mentioned, I would love to do this mod also. I would guess that the new "modified" console from the stepside concept would retrofit...hopefully! I agree that the carpeted center floor is a waste of space. That new console looks nice. Love the Sequoia style console. A much better design IMO.
Take care,
Clay
