Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Best Looking Grill for Tundra", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Man, there can't be a better looking grill then the Grill Craft! I was going to buy the TRD Grill, but the Grill Craft blows it away (similar but larger grill area). Plus, Im sure it is better quality then the TRD Grill (no ripples, etc.).
They come in black, silver and chrome. What would look better on a white Tundra, with a white IS body kit on it (silver or chrome)? BTW, what color was the actual grill for the white TRD gills?
Are you saying that Grille Craft will be making replacement mesh grilles for your model year ('01 Tundra) on 05/30, or for all current Tundra's, including the newer '03's? To the best of my knowledge, they don't make anything for the '03 Tundra and do not have anything in the works... It'd be nice if I were wrong though as I would want one as well.
I went to thier website the other day. I cant get a close enough picture of the grille to form an opinion. I did look at the step by step photos of the install on the Sequoia, so I assume it will be the same. It's a nice grille alright. I think I would get my original grille shell painted white and then get the black insert, but not sure until I see the pricing.

We will see if they come out any time soon. They have been pushing this grill off since last year. They just advance the release date by on month at a time. I have been waiting for a while now. We should email them and bug them. But I'm waiting for this one too.

Those are the ones made by Strete Scene. I think the Grill Craft ones look better. Those appear to stick out too much and look goofey. It is hard to tell from the small pics though.
I agree with Agent WD-40 they just dont look as good as the grille craft. Now I just gotta bring myself to hack my perfectly good grille apart for the shell, unless I find a cheap one here first!

Ive got the SS grille. I gutted the middle and it looks alot dramatically better than what Street scene recommends (mount over stock grille) Will post pictures soon. I will wait as well for grillcraft but thats a ridculous price!! So Ill wait paitently for a Ivan steal deal or be contempt with my SS grill.
I'm sorry to say but it just a plain screen regardless of how the surround trim looks like it's still a mesh screen just like any other. The TRD grille looks unique as no other has one like it. You want a "check this out" not the "me too" grille. Just my opinion so don't get all fired up. Yes, I know the TRD grille is not all that to some but atleast it's unique. Hope it turns out good for you guys.
