Default Problem with my V-Leds upgrade

I replaced all my interior lights with LED from V-LEDS. After two weeks one of the high dollar ($10.00) LED bulbs quit . Only two of the 8 LEDS are working on the bulb. I sent V-LEDS an e-mail asking for a replacement so I will post here the results of the support. What kind of life expectancy should we get out of these bulbs?

Default Re: Do leds last long???

LEDs are usually good for 10000+ hours as long as they are not driven very hard. Some manufacturers run their LEDs very hard and that really cuts down the life expectancy.

We will absolutely take care of the bulb, that is not a problem. If I have not responded to your email already, I will look for it when I get back in the office and send a detailed reply immediately.

We'll get you taken care of

Default Problem with my V-Leds upgrade

There is a thread in the forum that talks about changing your interior lights to LED. I did the upgrade but one of the lights failed. I contacted the vendor (V-LEDS.COM) and told them of my problem. I was sent an email on the 9th of this month and told I would get a replacement but NEVER GOT IT. Has anyone had a LED upgrade fail and if so did the vendor replace it???

no problems here, bought mine off e-bay.they are the 6 led cluster and they work good!!!!! they say that you can put them in backwards.try reversing the bulb first.

I had one that was bad as well(flank style)...
But I had forgot to order two others, so I just bought another to replace the broken one, with that order.

At the cost of shipping, I just figured to just not deal with it, and buy a replacment.

I've always used LED Bulbs Superlumination.com Automotive Replacement Light Bulbs, Headlights, Foglights & Lamps) on my previous vehicles, and never had a defect or one burn up on me. I went with VLED's just for the flank bulbs... Although I did have one that was bad, I'm still very satisfied with the VLED's...

I know the light is bad because only two of the eight LEDS are working. I hope V-LEDS will do the right thing!

I had this issue the other day. I ordered 8 leds (4 sets) and one light was bad. I emailed V-leds on a Friday, and by the following Tuesday I had a replacement.

I've got several of their products (doors, dome, map & glove box) & no DOA or failures in 2 years.
