Default Ignition buzzer

Has anyone ever tried to defeat the ignition buzzer on a Tundra. I have a 2003 limited and I like to listen to the radio while the door is open but the buzzer makes this incredibly annoying. I've defeated these in the past on other Toyotas but the Tundra seems to have taken this to a whole new level.

I have disabled the key warning buzzer, quite simply. PM me and I'll tell you the details.

Default key buzzer silence

I've gotten several PMs how to do this. Sorry for the delay. Here is what I did to to disable the key buzzer in my '00 Tundra:
1. Remove driver kick panel, inside next to the emergency brake.
2. Remove lower dash panel under steering wheel. Detach hood release cable.
3. Detach plug at end of ignition cyclinder. This is the key buzzer indicator.
4. Reattach hood release cable, attach lower dash panel and kick panel.

Took about 10 min, after about 1.5 hours studying how the buzzer worked.
Well worth the effort!

Hey nymand1 Dude.

Last weekend I finally got around to performing both the ignition buzzer disconnect and the door buzzer disconnect on my '01.

All week, I've been like a kid with a new toy (no pun). It has been hot and humid, so before I climb in, I like to start my truck and open my windows. Now I can do it silence.

Talk about fun. I know I should get a real hobby, but for now I have this.

Highly recommend. I've got enough people nagging at me, now at least my truck doesn't.

Thanks again, Scott
