What HID's do you use? Any companies HID's better than the others? Please explain your input here. We are looking to feature a companies HID kits for our next video "how to"
Skip the kits. Do a full retrofit.... the kits are for the birds..... a DIY video that does a full retro on an 07+ tundra would be well received at this site....
I used Halo 2 from Japan (ebay) Real nice product. You can choose your kelvin rating and it took me about 2 hours from start to finish. It gets a little tricky with the waterproof gaskets when lining up the bulb. Just a little patience and presto-

If you do a search on the forum, many people including myself have done a full retrofit. i bought many of my components from Retrofit Source. This company also has a forum to answer many questions.
With building your own kit, you get to pick everything from the type of projector, shroud, ballast, etc. It all comes down to reading forums and others posts about what you want to do.
Yes HID retrofit is the way to go. I just finished up my quad setup on my Tundra and possibly doing a quad as well on the 4-Runner. Definitely worth it.

How do you post picktures in here? The last time I posted some pictures of the previous retrofit in the Tundra, one of the mods sent me a warning and he re-sized them. So ever since then, I haven't posted anything.

You can attach them in the advanced posting page, or you can use the resize tool in photobucket (if you use that hosting site). Either way you should be good to go...

Here are the pictures of his retrofit...... Nick- Please post up what type of bulbs, ballast, shrouds,....etc that you used so that we can get an idea of the details. If you have some pictures of the construction of them, feel free to email them to me and I'll post those as well.
