Default Annoying rattle under passengers seat

I tried looking for anything on this subject but came up with nothing. I've noticed the bar that allows you to slide the passenger side seat forward and backwards rattles almost constantly. Its an annoying high pitched tapping sound that drives me mad. Anyone know how to fix this or have suggestions?

I had the same problem and it was very annoying. Take a zip-tie and place it around the seat adjustment bar and one of the metal bracing cross-members under the seat. Essentially what has happened is that the seat adjustmen bar has become loose. I could find no way to tighten it, so this solution seems to take up the slack. No rattles again so far and I did it about a year ago. Hope this helps.

hey desperado, is it kind of like a zipper-on-a-purse-sitting-in-your-truck kind of rattle, or more of a "taptaptap" rattle? Cuz i have this rattleing zipper sound in my truck that drives me crazy. sounds like its coming from inside the dash somewhere, but it may be bouncing off the dash from under the seat. Help!

beirish:
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try it out later today when I get out of class.
S-Man:
I had the same thought that it was coming from the dash, but when I got fed up with it, I spent about 30 minutes listening and feeling around till I found the adjustment bar.

hmmph. thanks. I'll look into it. It always occours only when i am driving, so i never can get under the seat and look for it. I'll try the zip tie thing though thanks too, berish.
