Angry Air conditioner noise

This weekend my air conditioner started making this noise when I turn it on medium or high. It is definitely coming from the vents and it is kind of a deep sound. Sounds kind of like a vaccum cleaner. Anybody else have this same problem?? I think I'll bring it in to the dealer later this week.

I've had the same thing happen occasionally. On mine, it sounds like it's coming from the passenger floor vent, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. Let me know if the dealer has any insight if you take it in.

Will do. It is still under warranty so I may as well do it now. I'll let you know if they do anything.

I have 2004 SEQOUIA and 2006 TUNDRA DOUBLE DOOR , no complain with my SEQOUIA , But with my 2006 TUNDRA, I'm not sure if it is normal to hear a noise from the Air Compressor only when turned on.
I took it to the Dealer and they told me yes they heard the noise and they called me and said that they have to evacuate the FREON and put new FREON , and then when I got there to pick it up it is still making a noise and the manager compared it to another TUNDRA which is doing the same thing thats why I thought it is just normal on the 2006. I hope thats just normal I really like my TOYOTAS and planning to sell my 2004 SEQOUIA to get the 2008 .
If anyone can confirm that it is normal I will appeciate it.
God Bless

just a thought but recently the same thing happened to my dads 98 4runner. a mouse had fallen into his AC pump under the glovebox. you may not have a mouse in there but it is worth checking out because if anything gets in there it will burn that motor out. good luck

this actually has happened to me. i decided to take things into my own hands.

so, under the glove box on the passenger side, there is an AC blower/fan type thing. i unscrewed 3 screws (one was a little hard to get to) and i pulled it out. to my surprise i found a ton of debris, grass, pine needles ect. Total time was about 15-20 minutes to fix.

I have a 2006 tundra, and when the AC is on it has a vibration that can be felt in the floor, gas, and brake it also has a roaring noise that seems to come from the engineor vents. The AC compressor was replaced by dealer at 6000 miles. The unit works fine but it is driving me crazy, and the dealer says that this is normal on all2006 models.I called the factory hot line and the talked with the dealer and said that there was not anything wrong it is just the model.I am ready to trade for a Chevy or Ford before the warnt.is up in Nov.of 2009,it has 20,000 miles on it now.Does anyone have any answers?
