Interior Light Mod - Kids in Backseat

Now that my son is forward facing in his car seat, I realize that its pitch black in the cabin while driving at night. The dome light is too bright and I'd worry about leaving it on and killing the battery. So I saw this LED push light at Lowe's and gave it a shot:



Well it fits perfectly in the rear cup holder spot. I push it, and it lights straight up but its just enough light. For 7 bucks, I was pretty happy with it.

Has anyone else done a mod similar to this?

Maybe something with a red tint to it as to not cause you any night blindness.

I put one of those lights in the upper and lower sections of the center console in my 05 and 2000 Tundras. The one in the upper section was attached to the lid .lights up the inside really well.
