Default 60/40 console mod

I have the 60/40 front seat with the flip down console, problem is it does not flip up very high. Does anybody out there know if its possible to make it "recline" a bit more?
I'm planning to take it apart this week but if anybody else has done it or failed trying I'd like to know.

I'd like it to go up farther. it doesn't go up (or back) far as I would like. If it could go back about 4-5 inches more I 'd be happy.

It's designed to go up just far enough to be even with the other two seat backs; effectively making a third front seat. Why do you want it to go farther?

mine doesn't quite get there. I don't roll with my seats lazyboy style or anything either but the console is too far forward. I'll get a pic so you see what I mean. Just makes it tough when my chick wants to sit there.(we aren't married. can you tell) I think there has to be a notch or a peg of some kind that it stops on. All the threads I've seen are about armrests that don't stay up.
btw, I like the dog hair mod! I got that one soon as I got the truck. works for security too. screw viper, I have mean boxer.

Pretty sure there is a metal stop somewhere (like on the hinges) that you can modify to lean back more..

I know what you're sayin dcwhite, but it's not for looks in any way. It's positioned for driving comfort, for me particularly. I'm not comfortable with the steering wheel all close and my long arms binding up. When seats are too far back (think recliner with the foot rest up) it drives me nuts too.
