    Post Shelf-it?

I am looking for anyone who has gone the way of shelves in their truck.

    Click for pic

    Found this on www.truckperformance.com

I would like to know if anyone has these or similar products and if they would reccommend. How durable? and functional? are they?

I don't know anything about durability, but I'd be worried about visibility. I'm 6'2" and if you're in front at the intersection, there's times when it's hard to see a stoplight even without any obstruction at headliner height.

Unfortunately with my heavy right foot, my passenger would be wearing those cassettes most of the time!

I'd be more worried about something flying off the shelf if I were ever in a accident.

Yeah... guess most cases where brakes were applied it would go forward though... Seems alot of older trucks used to have them standard... kinda like that dimmer switch on the floorboard... wonder if they still make them?

Figured I'd bring up again... found on ebay:

Overhead Storage Shelf-it 2000-2004 Toyota Tundra Truck:eBay Motors (item 230343960607 end time Jun-17-09 14:46:39 PDT)

Wondering if any 1gen tundra owners have one... does it hinder vision by bringing the visors even lower? know sometimes my visor gets in my way (I'm 6"2)...would love to have the overhead storage though...

I had a Shelf-It in my 94 Toyota Pickup and it definitely decreases front visibility because you have to remount the visors on the bottom of it. I had a few smaller things and a CB mounted up there, but not all the junk they're showing in that picture. It was very handy and the junk up there always pretty secure from moving.

Nothing special. We just tell them straight out that they're going to die.
