OK, here is what I finally decided to do:
I checked out all of the site that everyone mentioned, thanks again for all of the feedback.
I emailed bentup.com a couple of time and got responses to some of my emails. I love the bentup rear bumper style that dyogim has, but they wanted $400 plus $120 shipping and that was for an unpainted bumper (according to their web site). I called and left a couple of messages, but got no replies.
I like the Tough Country bumpers too, but am not crazy about the diamond plate look.
I finally decided to purchase a stock replacement off ebay for $120 delivered. It is gray, not chrome. I had a little room to play from the insurance, so put the balance towards an ARB Sahara Bumper for the front. The ARB is gray powdercoat, so it should match the rear bumper pretty closely.
I will probably upgrade the rear bumper later, but for now just decided to go with the stock rear bumper to save some money. Shipping is the killer on any aftermarket bumper.
BTW: I purchased the ARB Bumper from 4wheel online.com (here: http://www.4wheelonline.com/toyotabullbar.html). It ended up running about $870 delivered.
Thanks again for all of the help.

I haven't received replies from the other 2 members interested in my bumper. One was from Georgia(user name-7.62mm). I told him shipping from here to there would be a lot of $$$ and if he wanted to pay to let me know. The other was from San Fran or Oakland and I haven't received any word from him. If you want, you can buy mine for $300 and we can work something out on meeting halfway from the bay area(Concord 94521) to Santa Barbara. I'll repaint it with a rattle can of Rusto. The bumper has not had any major contacts with rocks, vehicles, etc. The only contact is from dirt, gravel on steep angle departures. Let me know if you are interested.
***Received a reply from jack_ck and he is still interested. He's the member from Oakland. Keep you posted if it becomes available.***added at 11am
Ok, since they've got a deal in the works, this thread is being taken over by me for the purpose of generating interest in a custom rear tube bumper/rear quarter panel protection. Joe has exactly what I want. However, being as I can't afford to pay $1500 for a bumper, we need to explore other options. There are lots of custom fab places out there. Any ideas? Oh, yeah, and I'm still trying to find a picture of Joe's bumper. I think he took it off so nobody could copy the plans... Let's get this done. I need this way more than an ARB front bumper...
I'm having the new rear bumper for my truck fabbed this sunday. I'll be sure to take some pics of the bumper and the cutting of the rear quarter panel. Can't wait to use the sawzall.
Woohoo!!! My bumpers done. It's bad@$$! This is a bolt on application. However, it would be a pain to take off by myself. I ended up using square tubing and decided not to go with round tubing to protect the upper rear quarter panel. I may have them added later. 2x3 square tubing was used. 2 shackles mounts were added as well as a 2" receiver hitch. The license plate is fitted on a backing plate that slips into the receiver hitch. Click on my 'www' link to see pics. I'll take more pics of the mounting points.
The old bumper is sold. However, I have the hitch for sale. Make an offer. I'll have the classified posted shortly in the classisfied section.
Hey Amocat00: You may want to check with a moderator before "taking over" a thread. You would probably generate more response if you start a new thread titled "Custom Rear Bumper, Interested?" or check with the moderator and see about starting a thread to see who is interested in a group buy.

Hey Mike. I tried to use the "WWW" link in your profile, but only saw pictures of your old bumper. Do you have any pics of the new one?
Thanks,
Ken

Nah, I'll just see if there is any response here first, unless you'd rather I didn't use this thread for some reason. I'm not to the point of buying one yet, so there's no use "creating" a thread to generate interest. I'm just getting a general idea for now. If you'd rather I didn't use this this thread, I'll delete that post. Sorry.

No worries Shawn. I just thought you may generate more interest if you starting a post with a title that grabbed people's attention a little better. It is fine with me whatever you decide to do. I have had my wrist slapped a couple of times for posting where I shouldn't have.
BTW I did end up buying a used factory rear bumper (gray not chrome), and an ARB front bumper. I was amazed that the colors (front and rear) match perfectly! I am still very disapointed with the factory rear bumper, and some day will probably upgrade, but put it off for now.
Thanks again for everyone's input and advice.

Oh, ok. I didn't want to hijack your thread if it bothered you, I just figured it's already started and has alot of views, so people might continue to check it out. Yeah, I've had a problem or two posting where/when I shouldn't too.
I'm glad you found something at least for the time being. I'm going to get a useable rear bumper before I worry about the front. It's the least of my worries right now.
Dyogim, the bumper looks sweet! Maybe I missed it, but did you attach the bumper to the stock locations, or add mounting points to the sides, underneath the quarters as well? Thanks.
