Yep, those are two of the four things I didnt care for
1.removed all the emblems except the Toyota logo in grille.
2.fixed the a$$ high problem with bell tech 6700's from the mod forum(worked great)
3.fixed the short seat this weekend(works great so far)
4.now for some nitrous!!!

I was hoping to pick your brain or even better have you show me how to do the modification. Now, I just noticed your location. Not exactly around the corner from me. Oh well, I'll see if I can tear it up myself in a day or so. Regards..

I'm 6'5 and would like to know a fairly simple solution also...
Great truck, just need more leg room...

My 03 has power seat. So I cant speak for manual seats.
If you take the seat out and flip it upside down, you will notice a stud and nut poking out through the seat rails.
On mine there were three holes that you could potentially relocate the stud to.
Both would relocate seat further back.
It took me probably 6 hours to do the first side. And 1/2 hour to do the second side. I used the third hole.
Involved grinding and cutting.
I have had mine in operation for several years now, with no problems.
My wife drives truck occasionally and she is 5'3", I am 6'2" so it slides back and forth occasionally with not a problem yet (except that in full back position the back of the front seat nearly touches the front of the rear seat)

Unfortunately mine is not a power seat. However, at this point if I need to buy a power seat it would be worth it. Love the Truck but tired of being cramped.

Thanks for your input!!

Easiest option (not cheapest) would be to buy a new double cab.
I am driving an 06 double cab and the seat goes back much further than the earlier years -plenty comfortable with zero fabrication.
Go test drive one you will be amazed at the difference.
I drove an 04 double cab and it was the same as my 03 originally.
My 03 ACCESS CAB with modified seat rails goes back further, but it was a lot of work to do.

I wish a new double cab was an option. However, I work for an Airline that may be on strike in a few days. If that happens I'll be happy to be able to keep what I have. I appreciatiate your advice...... Regards.

Finally have a solution after all this time and can close this thread. Took the seat to a metal fabricator after confirming his work. He extended the rails which gives me an extra 3-4 inches. By looking at the seat in the Truck you cannot tell anything was done. It is like a different vehicle to me now. Of course no way anyone could sit behind me but that is seldom a problem. I feel as if I have traded my old Truck for a new one. Happy to be comfortable...
