Default New Rear Bumper

I have a chromed rear bumper that is slightly curled on the left side due to backing into someone. I paid to fix their car but my bumper is curled. Most of my friends can't even notice what I'm talking about, to them it looks fine. To me though it just doesn't look the way it did and I want to replace the bumper. Does anyone know how much it'd cost for a new rear chrome bumper and where I could get it?

Thanks.

-Richard

Have you tried taking it to a Body shop and asking them to re-hammer the bumper and, re-crome it? I had the same thing done to my previous ford ranger, and it looked great. Cost about $150.00

for 150, you could probably snag a used bumper from a guy who went rollpan or custom.

...or you could just try bending it back yourself with a pair of padded leather gloves...the stock fenders are really flimsy.

Maybe its just my "hillbilly" upbringin' but have you tried a piece of heavy rope and a telephone pole yet? (seriously!) - Maybe just a tweak back could do the trick, as long as the chrome isn't cracked.

I'd try that before I'd spend a nickel on it - but then again, I'm one cheap sumbich!

Think it'll just pop right back kinda into place? I am just afriad that if I do the rope thing I'll bend the brackets that connect it to the truck. This is more of a slight crease on the underside of it, I think that by pulling on the left edge it would maybe bend it out alittle, I don't know. You can't notice it unless you walk behind the truck and squat down such that you are looking at the trailer hitch. On the left side there is sort of a bubble crease on the underside of the bumper. My friends don't even really notice it but it just bugs the begeesus out of me. My truck is my baby and I can't stand her not looking her best.

A place in L.A. called The Bumper Shop will take your bumper less all plastic and brackets plus $180.00 and either straighten and chrome your bumper or if they have one in stock will sell you one straight original toyota bumper chromed for the same price with your core exchange.

I have an 03 chrome bumper sitting in my office which would love to have a caring owner, LOL. It has an integrated hitch with it and had only 400 miles on it when I put my aftermarket diamondplate and tube one on. PM me if you are interested.

The pressing and rechroming is the way to go. Take it to Nu Chrome in Tucson. They did my bumper and it looks better than new.
