Question Removing Warning Stickers From Sun Visors

I want to remove all those ridiculous warning stickers off of the sun visors. You know the ones that tell you about air bag deployment and little kids etc.

If figured I could use an exacto knife to peel up a corner and just pull them off. With any luck they will come off in a single piece. Has anyone removed these and if so, how did you do it?

I did it after reading that others had done it with good results. **SEE HERE** They come off it bits and pieces and pull off some of the visor felt material leaving dimples in the visors, but that is hardly noticeable outside the truck. Much better than having the tags seen, IMO.

You can try steaming them to make it easier to pull off.

I think rather than make them look used, and tampered with - I'll just have mine reupholstered...

I agree though, the warning labels all over the place are a bit much...

I wondered what the labels must look like until one day I noticed a Tundra driving towards me in traffic with his visors down. I thought it looked cheesy and soon after I yanked mine off. Nice improvement IMO.

Ripper---I tried a couple of different ways and this worked the best---First take them off the truck. Put them on a flat surface and spray the label and surrounding area with water. Let it soak in for a couple of minutes then take a wet towel and place it over the label. Now place an iron on the towel and slowly move it over the label area. It won't take long before you'll be able to lift one of the corners up and you sould be able to peel the label off in one piece. If not just apply the iron back on W/THE TOWEL until it softens the label enough to come up. I also took the one off the center console too but had to do that one inside the truck. Hope this helps. Thumbs up

Warning stickers are gone.

The procedure outlined previouslly using a towel and a iron worked perfectly.

Default Remove stickers off visors

I love my new Tundra but I hate all the warning stickers on the visors and on the fold down arm rest. Can they be removed without ruining the fabric surfaces they are adhered to? Has anyone tried this yet?

Yeah - mine all peeled right off. That's the first thing I did - That and I added some blind spot mirrors right in the parking lot of Pep Boys on the way home from the dealership!

I used one of those steamers that you use to get wrinkles out of drapes. Let it get superhot then steamed the corners of the stickers. Then just peeled carefully. Definitely worth the effort.
