Cool tundra problems

I've had my 2003 tundra 4x4 for three months and overall I'm satisfied except when the windows are partially down they rattle quiet a bit, I told the service manager this isn't acceptable. Does anybody know if there is a simple cure for this? I'm also trying to become familiar with certain noises; when I'm at a stop; is it normal for the engine to increase its rpms when I turn the fan on? It does. When the fan is disengaged the tach. goes down.

There is a fix. It tightens the windows at the track. Check in the Garage section or do a search here!

...solution involves taking apart the door and messing with the window track. they all do this, but if you're persistent, your service dept might mod it for you.

You must have the AC on if the RPM's are higher. When you turn off the AC the engine idles down some.

Nope, the A/C isn't on; just when the fan is on the tach increases about 25 rpms. approx.

Is your vent knob turned to defrost, if so the A/C comes on automatically (WITHOUT the A/C light coming on) even if you have the temp setting to hot.
